A living Bible study project

Scripture explored through space, sound, movement, and wonder.

This is my personal journey through the Bible as I use technology to study Scripture in a more visceral way and share that experience with others. My goal is to move carefully through every book, every chapter, and every major moment—building detailed, interactive 3D representations that invite people not only to read the text, but to pause, explore, reflect, and engage with it.

Why I am building this

A personal act of study, faith, creativity, and service.

I am creating this project to deepen my own understanding of the Bible and to share that journey with others. Technology allows me to approach Scripture in a way that feels visual, dimensional, interactive, and immediate.
The approach

Bible first. Research supported. Technology enhanced.

The experience will remain grounded in Scripture while drawing from additional resources that help illuminate historical, cultural, geographic, linguistic, theological, and scientific context.

Foundation

Scripture guides the experience

The biblical text determines the sequence, themes, and central meaning. Creative choices will be identified as interpretation rather than presented as Scripture.

Research

Additional resources add depth

I will integrate study tools, historical references, maps, scholarship, scientific context, and other credible resources where they can help clarify the world surrounding the text.

Technology

AI assists, but does not replace study

I rely on artificial intelligence to assist with research, design, coding, imagery, sound, organization, and experimentation. AI is one tool within a broader process of careful study and continued learning.

The starting point

Genesis: In the Beginning

The journey begins with the book of Genesis and the creation account. Day 1 is my first attempt at translating Scripture into an immersive WebGL experience.

The first attempt is not the final standard.

Day 1 represents the beginning of both the biblical journey and my own technical learning process. Each new day, chapter, and book will become more refined as I master the tools, study more deeply, improve the storytelling, and learn how to make the experience more visually spectacular, interactive, meaningful, and engaging.

Now Building the opening creation experience and establishing the visual language of the project.
Next Expanding through the seven days of creation, then moving carefully through the remaining chapters of Genesis.
Long term Creating a detailed 3D representation of every chapter of every book of the Bible.
66 Books to explore
1,189 Chapters in the Protestant Bible
Ongoing Daily or weekly additions
The long-term vision

A growing digital study of the entire Bible.

This project will evolve over time. It is not intended to appear complete at the beginning. The process of learning, revising, correcting, and improving is part of the experience.

1

Study the chapter

Read closely, compare translations, identify key themes, and gather historical, cultural, geographic, and scientific context.

2

Design the environment

Translate the text into space, scale, movement, lighting, sound, atmosphere, and interaction without confusing interpretation with Scripture.

3

Build and test the experience

Create the scene in WebGL, optimize it for desktop and mobile, test accessibility, and refine performance and navigation.

4

Listen, revise, and continue

Use thoughtful feedback to correct unclear choices, improve the experience, and guide the development of future chapters.
