Continents and ocean basins are described scientifically through crustal structure, plate tectonics, uplift, erosion, sedimentation, and long-term hydrologic processes. Genesis 1:9–10 presents the theological claim that the ordered relationship between land and sea exists under God's command.
Plants convert light energy into chemical energy through photosynthesis, reproduce through complex seed and spore systems, and form the foundation of terrestrial food webs. Genesis emphasizes that vegetation reproduces “according to its kind” and contains within itself the means of continuation.

God Prepares the Ground Before He Produces Fruit
Before vegetation appeared, the waters were gathered and dry ground was revealed. Fruitfulness followed preparation.
Some seasons of life feel like separation, exposure, or restructuring. Yet God may be preparing ground where new growth can take root. The absence of visible fruit does not mean that His work has stopped.
Healthy fruit requires ordered ground, faithful seed, and patient growth.

Prayer
Father, prepare the ground of my heart. Gather what is scattered, establish what is stable, and bring forth fruit that reflects Your goodness. Give me patience during preparation and faithfulness in every season of growth. Amen.
